When I was applying for my master's, the biggest conundrum I faced was whether I should be applying for MBA or MPP? How would an MPP advance my career over an MBA degree?
Since I had worked both in the private sector and government advisory before my MBA, I wasn't sure which degree would be the best next launchpad for my career.
After a lot of interesting discussions and goal setting, I decided to head to the ISB campus in India to do my MBA. However, being fully aware of my social sector inclinations, I chose to do an exchange semester at The Fletcher School of Law & Diplomacy and learned public sector innovations from a former New York Mayor at Harvard Kennedy School.
However, here is the thing.
I got really lucky in my higher education! Not everyone gets to experience the best of both worlds. Very few people get to study at either Indian School of Business, Harvard, or Fletcher. I got to learn at all three during my higher education.
Fully understanding the harsh realities of admission process today, we decided to transform this space. Hence, excited to have launched GGI Policy Scholars designed especially for young professionals who may not be able to invest the same time or money. And are in fact looking for better alternatives to international MPP programs so they can learn from top government experts who have walked miles in the policy arena before them.
The world of education today is changing faster than ever. You need not take multiple GRE/GMAT exams or uproot yourself by shifting continents to learn from the best. You can learn, get employed, and build similar relations at GGI via Policy Scholars.
There are no shortcuts to success. But our mission at GGI is definitely to reimagine the higher education system so that youngsters today do not have to wait years clearing exams to build their own successful journey!
