If you are at ISBs, IIMs, and other top-ranked Indian Business Schools. You should be incredibly proud of your decision to pursue an Indian Education.
1. Don’t worry about international exposure: A large part of it is over-hyped, and utter nonsense. You will realize this in less than a month of your foreign degree. And if this is still an important factor - schools such as ISB have collaborated with Wharton, Fletcher, Kellogg, Tuck. Pursue an exchange semester.
In fact, 3 months at Global Governance Initiative will allow you to walk away with a network of lifelong friends from ESADE, Oxford, ISB, Dartmouth - some of our partner institutes for 2021.
2. India has changed: In the 1990s, when Sunder Pichai did his MBA from Wharton - the world was a different place. India was still struggling to find its place in the post-cold war era, the internet was driven by dial-up connections. But now from cross-border interactions to talent discovery platforms - networking/collaborating is incredibly easy. It would be ludicrous to base decisions on what Indira Nooyi or Sunder Pichai did 30 years ago.
Until and unless, you are sponsored by your organization, or can secure a good scholarship - there is absolutely no need to fall into a 'foreign' education trap.
